Trip hazard identification

We test bike ways, pedestrian bridges, public and private roads to Q704-1982 Skid Resistance (Portable Pendulum) requirements – as set out in your Development Application – we are NATA Accredited so our recommendation will be accepted by the local government and associated certifiers.

Accelerated wear testing
Soon after handover from a builder to the owner we are finding that the surface wears quicker than anticipated. Due to demand from tile importers, builders and architects along with owners who want to ensure what they install lasts the distance.
We now conduct accelerated wear testing – The wearing characteristics of the surface to see how it could withstand heavy traffic. Too often we have seen a tile drop from a P5 to a P2 in under 500 wear cycles.

Reports for legal disputes
We are often called upon by legal firms in Australia to assist in court cases where either the building owner or a member of the public has slipped.
Our independent reports are submitted to our clients within 24 hours of the test taking place – we provide photographic evidence within the report along with the applicable standards that the flooring requires as determined by the National Building Code or the applicable Australian Standard.
Our three-page report will give you the answer based on our expert assessment of the area the slip took place and in conclusion.
